Greeting Sign language

Postage stamps enthusiasts in Singapore can soon lay their hands on a set of new stamps featuring greetings in sign language.

To be released on June 17, the series of five stamps will show in sign language: "Hi", "Welcome", "Thanks", "Goodbye" and "I Love You".

Postal service provider SingPost said the stamp issue is designed by Mr Kenny Tiang, a member of The Singapore Association for the Deaf.

It said the stamps are aimed at fostering greater interaction with the deaf community.

SingPost will also release First Day Covers with the new stamps.

Both products will be on sale from June 17 at post offices and the Singapore Philatelic Museum.
