Singapore Mt Vernon Homestay (EI059) has been operating for the past few months, and we had received tremendous support from all our students and parents.  We are the most suitable Homestay Accommodation for Younger Students pursuing their education in AEIS Preparatory Program, Primary / Secondary and International Schools.

Currently, Mt Vernon Homestay had a total of 90 students aged from 5 years old to 18 years old. Currently our students came from different countries, example: China, Indonesia, Russia, Malaysia, Mongolia, and Korea. This is indeed challenging to ensure that all students that are staying in Mt Vernon Homestay are being taken care of, ensure there is a holistic environment. In Mt Vernon Homestay, we promote students to interact, build up their social skills, be responsible and create an education friendly environment for all the students.

AS the number of students in Mt Vernon Homestay increases, there are certain regulations that we had improvised for the 2 types of age groups: (Group A:  5 years old to 13 years old) and (Group B: 14 years old to 18 years old), these are the following for Group B:

(1) Internet to be shut off at 11pm Sharp on both Weekdays and Weekends.

(2) Lighting in the room to be shut off at 11pm on weekdays and on weekends will be 12pm. (Should Student want to do revision, they can do it in the Classroom)

(3) Female Students to enter their female level are on Fingerprint Security, to ensure the utmost security.

(4) Main Gate of Mt Vernon Homestay to be closed at 11pm sharp on both weekdays and weekends. (Should Student had any activities that are approved by their parents, the parent would need to inform us)

(5) Self-revision will be from 8pm to 10pm daily, students are to have their attendance marked. 3 times absence, we will inform the parent.

(6) Once a month, there will be activities for students, example: Fund-raising, visiting of orphanage, old folk home and being volunteers in charity organization. (There will be charges involved in transportation)

(7) As we are encouraging students to sleep early and have a healthy diet, supper will not be provided for students.

(8) Pocket money management.

As for Group A students, as their age group is younger thus there is a need for a more intensive supervision on them in terms of homework, lifestyle and attitude in life, as such, we have employed a lifestyle teacher that will be looking after this age group:

(1) Internet to be shut off at 9pm Sharp on both Weekdays and Weekends.

(2) Lighting in the room to be shut off at 9.30pm on weekdays and on weekends will be 10pm.

(3) Female Students to enter their female level are on Fingerprint Security, to ensure the utmost security.

(4) Main Gate of Mt Vernon Homestay  to be closed at 11pm sharp on both weekdays and weekends.

(5) Self-revision will be from 7pm to 9pm daily with the supervision of the lifestyle teacher.

(6) There will be 2 lessons per week. Per lesson will be 2 hours. Lessons will be taught by our professional American-India Teacher.

(7) Activities rendered to Group A, the charges will be inclusive in the rental.

(8) Once a month, there will be activities for students, example: Fund-raising, visiting of orphanage, old folk home and being volunteers in charity organization. This will be inclusive of the rental.

(9) Pocket money management.

(10) Group A students will need to follow the schedule below on a strict timetable:

Given the above, Group A students, at all times, will be in a group and under the supervision of the lifestyle teacher.

(11) As we are promoting students to sleep early and have a healthy diet, supper will not be provided for students.

(12) Constant updating of Group A students will be furnished to the parents via email or calls.
