 Singapore has a tropical climate. All through the year the climate of Singapore is hot and humid with minimum average temperatures of 23 degree Celsius and maximum of 31 degree Celsius. Humidity in Singapore lies between 70 to 80 percent.The Geographic coordinates are 1 22 N, 103 48 E.
With occasional showers and monsoon stretching from the month of November till January, the country is a favorite destination for tourists avoiding extreme temperatures. The tropical climate of Singapore usually has a healthy effect on the visitors. It provides a pleasant weather condition for visitors to explore the country comfortably.
Sun-bathers and natural lovers love to visit the country due to its climatic factors. The best time of the year is from the month of June till August.

Singapore has a more or less tropical rain forest climate. There aren’t many fluctuations in the overall temperatures. Its proximity to the equator tends to present a hot and humid climate during the year. Rainfall, humidity in the climate and steady pressure and temperature are common features of Singapore’s climate.

  • Climate of Singapore is more or less stable with the same kind of temperatures, though the months of May and June may experience the hottest temperatures. These are the months of summer season in the country.
  • During the day the temperature is quite high, though rest parts of the day may experience light winds with sunny atmosphere. At this time of the year, humidity is comparatively lower than the monsoon months. Summers are quite hot with relatively high temperatures. Light clothes, umbrellas and skin creams for combating heat is ideal during this time of the year.
  • Monsoon arrives twice in Singapore. The country faces northeast monsoon and southwest monsoon. Northeast monsoon occurs from the months of December and goes on till March. There may be 3 to 4 days of continuous rainfall. The month of April sees a lot of rain compared to other months facing the northeast monsoon. Another monsoon that hits Singapore is the southwest monsoon. It takes place from the months of June till September. A southern wind blows in this monsoon. There are light showers contrasted with frequent heavy ones throughout the day. The fast winds may lead to quick showers during this monsoon. Rain shadow on the southern part results to more rains compared to those of eastern part monsoon. The average rain faced by the country is 2370mm.
