The Straits Student Hostel is right next to People's Park complex in the heart of Chinatown, three minutes' walk from Outram MRT as well as Chinatown MRT, and served by many bus routes to all parts of Singapore. It is within walking distance of institutions like FDMS, Raffles Design, Nanyang Institute of Management, ERC, and Dimensions. Dozens of shops are right at our doorstep, including outlets of many major banks. Just beside the hostel is a very large hawker centre with hundreds of stalls selling cheap, exquisite cuisine from all parts of China, like Sichuan hotpot, Tongbei dumplings and many more. We provide safe, clean, comfortable and affordable accommodation catering specially to foreign students in our newly-refurbished hostel with brand new furniture and a multitude of facilities. Each floor is separated by gender to ensure security and privacy. The hostel is managed by experienced professionals.
