从11月1日起，乘搭地铁时购买单程普通车票（Standard Ticket）的押金从1元减至1角，乘客无需再去售票机取回押金，而是直接从旅程的车费中扣除。

　　这种新的普通车票还能在30天内用上六次，1角押金会在第三次乘搭地铁时扣除，乘搭第六次时还能获得额外1角折扣。

　　通联公司（TransitLink）说，他们是在听取乘客意见后对车票和售票机进行改进，无需去售票机取回押金能减少排队人数。

　　乘客也能买新推出的“往返”普通车票，现在只能买单程票。

　　通联公司也将从8月1日起陆续更新地铁站和轻轨站的售票机，新的售票机屏幕更大，适合年长者。
